I had a busy year. I’d like to think it was also successful. Considering all the insanity of real life, I didn’t get as much done as I’d hoped, but that’s fine.
I published four new books:
A More Efficient Fantasy 9: Optimizing Preparations
A More Efficient Fantasy 10: Optimizing Peace
That finished the series, so I also made an omnibus.
Only the Inevitable 14: Hollow Purpose
Only the Inevitable 15: Beyond Hidden
Only the Inevitable 16: Reflections will be out Jan 20, and is currently available for pre-order.
I also re-published Center of the Universe, book 1 of Only the Inevitable.
I also wrote a number of short stories, including the Hank the Were Rooster adventures. Hank is very stupid, but he amuses me.
I made book trailers for Only the Inevitable and Thousand Eye Universe
I’ve mostly been good about publishing this newsletter. I missed only a few weeks (and then used a week just to post puppy pictures). A few people responded to me, which was awesome.
I attended the Chicago Steampunk Exposition and had lots of fun — and sold enough books to make booth. I’m hoping to attend again next year, especially if I can camp on a friend’s couch and thus not have to pay for a hotel.
I continue to try and promote my books with minimal social media. I hate social media and thus avoid it. I’ve been doing newsletter swaps, I ran a giveaway, and I had a chance to feature on a few other people’s blogs.
So 2025 certainly felt busy.
