Life has been very busy lately. I’m near the end of the semester, which is always crazy, but now life has added additional items.

I was in a car accident a few weeks ago. Someone drove through a red light and crashed into me. Everyone is fine, but my car got totaled — or at least, would cost more to repair than it’s worth, since it’s an old car.

I have been arguing with the insurance company to get more money. Yes, my car is old, but I put $3000 into it a few months ago. I was hoping to get a few more years out of it. If I could get the amount the insurance offered plus the $3000, I’ll be satisfied.

That also means I’ve been looking at new cars. The market isn’t as bad as it was recently. I’ve found a few that look decent, and I’m diving into the details to see which I like best. Because, yes, I am going to make a full spreadsheet to properly analyze which is best. Because any excuse to make a spreadsheet is good enough.

My mom was supposed to have surgery last week, but it got canceled at the last minute. The doctor has yet to schedule a new date for the procedure. So now we have to wait and worry.

I am finishing my nightmare semester — 10 classes is WAY too many. But, because I’ve been told there are perks to tenure but I have yet to experience them, my spring schedule got changed yesterday. Yay, almost no time to plan! And another yay to the class I spent time planning that I will no longer be teaching!

Between all that, I’ve been planning some fun stuff. I will have details about some of it soon, so look forward to that 🙂
