Sunday, February 2 was Groundhog Day. I would like to propose that the universe allow me to have a Groundhog Day and re-do the last year until it sucks less. Please, universe? It isn’t asking that much, and I promise to use a few iterations to get into trouble and do weird shit.

In other news, I have wanted for years to have audiobooks. Unfortunately, audiobooks are expensive (crazy expensive when you consider the size of my backlist). You can read it yourself, but I have an issue where I am sure I’m saying one word, but everyone else tells me I’m saying another word. (More than once in class, I’ll say 2 but my class assures me that I actually said 3. Thanks, brain.)

So I am looking at AI options for audiobooks. Since my books include made-up words, that will be difficult, and I don’t know if every publishing platform will take AI-generated audiobooks or if readers want them. So I want to ask all of you: would you want an audiobook?

Tell me what you think. Answer the poll here:

Book 9 of A More Efficient Fantasy, Optimizing Preparations, is available for pre-order.

Traditional fantasy worlds are shit. The technology is pathetic, the magic is too showy, the beer tastes like piss, and no one cares about goblins and trolls.

Now a proud Demonian, Paka wants to do something to help his new nation and his new family. He finds a solution when he realizes that Demonia isn’t quite the perfect utopia for evil races that he thought it was.
